a little bit about me

hello, hello and welcome to my little quiet and cozy corner, where you can relax and just breathe for a second.

I'm Chandra, but most call me Chana, an artist, illustrator, and animal-loving person from Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
I love all things animal-related and enjoy making cute, happy, and cozy art to share with you all.

I started in May 2023 and never thought I'd be where I am today. I now run a small pop-up shop in Baywest Mall, which I stock weekly. I also run an online shop which I launched in February of this year - and in between, I love doing night markets and CONS.


I am here because I hope to inspire some of you to always stay true to yourselves and do what you love.

I started creating and sharing my art in hopes of bringing joy to others around me.

I appreciate how every one of you has been supporting my small art, big dreams, and unconditional love for animals.

This is not my full-time career yet, but as I expand, I hope it will be. I want to continue to create cute and happy art for you all. I am super excited to continue growing and to create content that brings you and me joy!

fun facts about me

  • I am from a small town called Mossel Bay in the Western Cape, and I miss my hometown a lot. I moved to Port Elizabeth to study. If I could move back there, I would.

  • I am a huge Alien fan. I've been collecting art, movies, audiobooks, and merch of Alien since a very young age. This is a photo of one of my stickers I made in 2025.

  • I started my small business in May of 2023 and only did outdoor markets and small events. Today I have a small pop-up shop in Baywest Mall.

  • My favourite thing to do is play video games and add to my Funko Pop collection. My gaming setup is based around the Alien Franchise and the colour green.

  • These are my furkids. Edan (left) my ginger boy - he is super vocal and always wants to cuddle. Trico (right) is my little toy pom 'rolbossie' - he loves squeaky toys.

  • I absolutely love the colour green - It's a colour that always pulls me close to nature. It always feels so natural, fresh, and is something that I never seem to get tired of.

So... why animals?

Animals are honestly the best because they carry this perfect mix of chaos, innocence, and pure-hearted charm that humans can’t even compete with. They don’t pretend, they don’t overthink - they just are, and that’s what makes them so ridiculously cute. Every creature, from the smol gremlin-looking ones to the majestic flufflords, has a personality that shines through in the way they move, look, and vibe with the world. They make life softer, funnier, and way more magical. And honestly? The way an animal just exists can inspire an entire art style - the little tilts of their heads, their weird habits, their goofy poses. They’re tiny bundles of serotonin, and that’s why they’ll always be my favorite thing to draw and turned into adorable creations.
